Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the procurement process for mechanical materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure optimal pricing, quality, and contract terms.
• Review and approve purchase orders, contracts, and material submittals in alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure all mechanical materials and equipment comply with international standards and local regulations.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and logistics to avoid delays and maintain efficiency.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
• Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and cost-saving opportunities for mechanical systems.
• Handle claims, contract variations, and supplier disputes when necessary.
• Prepare and submit procurement reports, cost analyses, and risk assessments to management.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in mechanical procurement, preferably in large-scale construction or MEP projects.
• Certifications: Procurement or supply chain management certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, as well as mechanical equipment procurement.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong capability in cost analysis, budget control, and risk mitigation.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in Arabic and English (Preferred).
