Description:
Responsibilities:
•Coordinate with other engineering sections (architectural, mechanical, electrical, decoration) to receive technical inputs and clarifications.
•Perform and review structural designs to meet load requirements, ensuring compliance with SBC codes.
•Oversee the design of structural elements to meet operational, safety, and proposal standards.
•Develop preliminary structural concepts to produce accurate design drawings and determine structural design systems.
•Review workload estimates to establish project completion timelines.
•Create structural models and design reports within agreed timeframes.
•Supervise and review subordinates’ work to ensure progress aligns with deadlines, standards, and requirements.
•Review technical specifications and Bill of Quantities.
•Assist site structural engineers in reviewing structural calculations and submittals.
•Conduct quality assurance reviews, progress monitoring, and approvals.
•Support site engineers in reviewing, modifying, and approving contractor submittals, shop drawings, and product data.
•Evaluate and approve design change orders and substitutions when necessary.
•Resolve complex technical issues and coordinate problem resolution.
•Participate in training, education, and development activities.
•Prepare structural models, CAD drawings, and Revit models.
•Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
•Attend client or consultant meetings for project clarifications.
•Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
•Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the relevant field.
•Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Technical Competencies:
•Proven experience in structural design, drawings, and modeling (CSI).
•Strong knowledge of concrete and structural steel codes (local & American) and building design load standards.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, structural modeling, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
