Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Management & Forecasting:
• Monitor cost performance and assist in budget forecasting and cost estimation.
• Develop and maintain the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and establish Project Cost Centers.
• Convert the Tender Estimate into the Project’s Initial Budget and track cost changes.
• Ensure costs are properly allocated to relevant Cost Centers to maintain financial accuracy.
Reporting & Compliance:
• Review and consolidate internal cost reports for project tracking.
• Analyze and provide comments on external financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project controls procedures, and cost control standards.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and provide financial insights for management.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate cost allocation, accounting, and financial controls.
Risk & Process Improvement:
• Identify and assess cost-related risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate potential cost impacts.
• Monitor actual project costs, determine and analyze cost variances, and develop cost trend projections.
• Provide insights on Cost Performance Indicators (CPI), such as Budgeted Cost for Work Scheduled (BCWS), Budgeted Cost for Work Performed (BCWP), and Actual Cost for Work Performed (ACWP).
• Participate in project close-out reporting and contribute to lessons learned documentation.
• Develop training materials for project control systems and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related fields).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in cost control, preferably in EPC projects or large-scale construction.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, pricing, estimation, and financial forecasting.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros), Primavera P6, and cost management software (SAP, Oracle ERP, or similar tools).
• Certifications (Preferred): CCP (Certified Cost Professional), PMP, or AACE certifications are a plus.
• Industry Exposure: Experience in EPC contracting or international projects is highly advantageous.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in Arabic and English (Preferred).
