Description
:
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations of the IT department, ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of systems and networks.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve performance and reliability.
Ensure adherence to company and industry standards for quality, compliance, and security.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical professionals including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
Facilitate training and professional development to keep the team updated on current technologies.
Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and create improvement plans as needed.
Service Delivery & Support
Ensure that technical support is provided to internal and external clients promptly, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
Manage the IT ticketing system, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Collaborate with the customer support team to address any escalated issues and ensure the optimal user experience.
Infrastructure Management
Monitor, maintain, and enhance IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases, to support business continuity.
Coordinate system upgrades, security patches, and other maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Budget & Vendor Management
Prepare and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and allocation of resources.
Engage and manage relationships with third-party vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements (SLAs).
Conduct regular evaluations of vendor performance and adjust as necessary.
Process Improvement
Identify, design, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Implement best practices and industry standards, focusing on automation and scalability.
Regularly assess risk and develop mitigation strategies.
Project Manager
Oversee technical projects from conception to completion.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in IT operations with at least 3 years in a management role.
Certifications:
ITIL, PMP, or relevant certifications are highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and systems administration.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), virtualization, and database management.
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
