Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Head to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing high-end projects such as palaces, luxury hotels, and resorts, with hands-on technical expertise in the field of mechanical engineering. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of complex projects, and experience in the GCC region is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering department, ensuring successful project execution from concept to completion.
- Oversee the design, planning, and execution of mechanical systems for high-end projects such as palaces, luxury hotels, and resorts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, civil engineers, and project managers, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards, with a strong focus on safety and sustainability.
- Review and approve mechanical designs, specifications, and budgets for various projects.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or other relevant credentials (preferred).
- 12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on high-end construction projects (palaces, luxury hotels, resorts, etc.).
- Arabic and English Language (Bi-lingual).
- Extensive hands-on technical experience in designing, installing, and maintaining complex mechanical systems.
- Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects.
- Prior experience working in the GCC region (preferred).
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools.
