Description:
The Head of Architectural Section will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of architectural design and planning for our high-end projects. This role requires a visionary leader who can inspire and manage a team of architects while ensuring the highest standards of design excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the architectural design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and supervision.
- Develop and implement architectural design strategies aligned with client requirements and project goals.
- Oversee the creation of conceptual designs, schematic drawings, and detailed architectural plans.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, municipality requirements and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with other departments (structural, MEP, interior design) to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Manage client relationships and present design concepts to stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Stay current with architectural trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain design excellence across all projects.
- Contribute to business development efforts and proposal preparations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master's degree will be highly considered ) in Architecture Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Professional architecture license ( Grade A UPDA – Qatar ) and active membership in relevant professional organizations.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering high-end, complex projects.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of architectural styles and project types.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling tools.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED/GSAS certification processes.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in QATAR and the Gulf region.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
