Description:
Responsibilities:
-Mastering H&S Standards. Sound knowledge of H&S principles, policies, procedures and regulations.
-Sound knowledge of business operating processes and procedures. Understanding of industrial and logistical processes (Cement & RMX) and the corresponding vocabulary.
-Professional H&S audit skills.
-Mastering hazard identification and risk management.
-Strong Analytical skills; Knowledge of Analysis and problem resolution methods (Root Cause Analysis RCA), Human Factors Analysis & Classification Systems.
-Project Management (preferred).
-Experience in configuring, defining and implementing SOPs (preferred).
-Management Systems and Continuous Improvement cycle: OHSAS 18001 (preferred).
-Proficient in MS Office and Google software programs: Excel, PPT, Word, G-Drive.
-Sound knowledge of Jordanian legislations and legal requirements related to the position.
-Managerial courage, ability to provide honest, objective advice/feedback.
-Networking Skills. Ability to establish a permanent relationship with line management, peers, employees and stakeholders.
-Leadership skills.
-Conflict Management skills.
-Ability to persuade, motivate and influence others.
-Listening and empathy.
-Coaching & Presentation skills. Ability to adapt to all audiences on all levels.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
-Accredited H&S certificate (e.g. Occupational safety and health specialist, NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH...etc).
-Minimum eight years of managerial experience in H&S in similar industries or in a senior position in the organization.
-Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
-Strong Planning and organizing skills.
-Positive attitude, self motivated.
-Self-confidence and resilience.
-Ability to cope with ambiguity and keep calm in a crisis/emergencies.
-Cooperation, team spirit and ability to work in a matrix organization.
